Statement
Oliver Benoit a Grenadian artist has been painting for the last 30 years. As a painter in the abstract genre, his paintings are in oil, acrylic and encaustic. There are two dimensions of his art: to provoke and encourage critical thinking from the perspective of the viewer, and to create a sense of pleasure when viewing the work. The texture and colours in his work draw the attention of the viewer. This is one reason why Oliver encourages the viewer to look carefully because there is always more in the work than is initially imagined.
